I posted pictures...

to the wrong website!! I updated my facebook account with new pictures of AJ and I totally neglected to upload them to my blog!! Boo!
This week is going to be a busy one for the Riggles. My sister, Melissa, is visiting from Orlando! Her trip is short... she arrives today and leaves Friday :(Her 30th birthday is Thursday AND it is my dad's 60th birthday on Thursday! I believe the family is going to dinner on Thursday. I wish I was able to take some PTO and hang out with her... darn work!

I have been inspired...

A fellow co-worker of mine, Kelly, keeps an AMAZING blog. She constantly updates it with pictrues of her girls and what thier fun filled weekends had in store for them. I am now inspired to keep mine up to date... third time is a charm, right??

I told you so....

I told you I would be really, really bad at upadting this thing!! Here I am five months after I started 'blogging' and I have all of four posts. Since my last post james lost one job and started another; aj turned one; i'm barely keeping my head above water at work... hmmm, what else??? Here I am pledging again... I will try and update this bad boy more than once a quarter...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone!! Ours was pretty low-key. We were lucky enough to have an overnight babysitter for AJ... my poor sister, brother-in-law, and nephew!!! James, Mark, Kris, and I went to dinner at MoMo's off Delmar and had a blast. The food was amazing (as usual) and the atmosphere was really fun! We finished up the night with a competitive game of Trivial Pursuit (preceded by an awful attempt at a drinking game... we are getting old).
James and I purchased new family room furniture on New Years Day. I think we got a pretty sweet deal. We purchased a new sofa and chair. We should have everything set up on Tuesday :)
We have realized that we will probably in our home a lot longer than we originally planned, so time to make some improvements! We are going to pull up the carpet and have the floors re-finished... by we I mean we are going to pay someone to do it. We are not handy at ALL!
We have a guest staying witu us until tomorrow... Maddie the Boxer!! She is hilarious! I will have to post pictures of her. She gets along great with our dogs and AJ loves her!

I've decided to do it...

Well, I bit the bullet and decided to attempt to blog. I figure this would be a great way to document everything that is going on in our family, even if noone else reads it :)

The holiday season is coming to an end. AJ, James, and I had a wonderful Christmas. AJ definitely got spoiled by everyone! His entire room is full of new toys. Truth be told, he is more in love with the leftover tissue paper and gift bags than any of his toys. I am sure that will change in time. We are going to take our tree down this week, before the New Year, which is totally un-Ellen like. We are dog sitting for our friend, Adam, and are not sure if our tree will stand with three dogs running around.

Well, there it is. My first blog. Let's hope I can keep this up :)
